Nothing quite like the feeling of running in a downpour, with the equivalent of a liter or so of water sloshing around in your sneakers. That's the worst part. It takes a full day for your footwear to dry out thoroughly.
I should have just dumped a bottle of Gatorade down each leg.
So does anybody have any suggestions as to how to dry out wet sneakers? I don't want to throw them in the dryer because the heat can damage, warp or melt portions of the composite sole of my ASICS running shoe.
Sincerely,
Desparately Seeking Dry Sneakers
Try stuffing your soggy shoes with newspaper to dry them out overnight. Works like a charm for me!
ReplyDeleteAwesome tip! Thanks for taking the time to read and reply! Do you still run?
ReplyDeleteI try to. Unfortunately I've been dealing with a lot of foot injuries over the past couple of years. I seem to have chronic plantar fasciitis and haven't found a remedy to allow me to run pain free for more than a couple of months at a time. Got any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I've heard of for plantar fasciitis are customized orthodics that are inserted into your footware. Have you considered seeing a specialist? A physical therapist might have some suggestions as well.
