Today, I went ahead and applied a new format template to this blog - what do you think? One of the reasons was to showcase my love of books via the background imagery and make the site more visually appealing.
Another reason for the upgrade was that the lettering and general look of the former template I used seemed "washed out" and was hard to read with no option to change it. The font here seems crisper and easier to follow.
Also, each section and tab using the former layout seemed disconnected to each other. With this revised format, there appears to be a more consistent and cohesive reading experience.
Lastly, I have added a page element on the right hand side of this Home Page that will allow anyone who might be inclined to sign up for my FREE bi-weekly newsletter delivered to your email box. The intent is to provide the same level of quality content and information I produce here - only more of it so you never miss a post. I hate spammers as much as you, so rest assured that I will never sell, trade or abuse your trust or privacy.
It's just my way of saying "Thank You" for trusting me with your attention and taking the time to read my writing. Soon, we'll be adding in periodic audioblogs and videoblogs to see how those work for you.

I agree with the wife. ;) This is a great layout. It is bright and colorful, and easy to navigate. But, honestly, I didn't have a huge problem navigating previously.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I am starting to question my eyesight. I had no idea you had a newsletter - and more than that, I cannot find where to sign up for it. What am I missing? Okay never mind. I stand corrected. I swear that big box at the top of the page wasn't there an hour ago. haha Will have to check it out. (Refreshed the page and lo and behold, there it was...or maybe I really was blind.)
Anyway, I just said all that to say this - it looks great. Keep it up!
