During lunch I went to my weekly WeightWatcher weigh-in today. As background, for the past few weeks I had plateaued with very little loss on the scale, but I did notice that I lost another inch around my waist since last measurement - so I was cautiously optimistic about today's result.
I'm pleased to report that I was down -4.0 lbs this week. So far I've lost 28.0 lbs since my first weigh-in back on April 7th, 2010.
For the record, here's the week-by-week break down of my adventures in WeightWatching thus far:
Week 1: -4.8 lbs
Week 2: -3.2 lbs
Week 3: -1.0 lbs
Week 4: -3.4 lbs
Week 5: -3.6 lbs
Week 6: -2.2 lbs
Week 7: -1.2 lbs
Week 8: -2.4 lbs
Week 9: -1.2 lbs
Week 10: -0.0 lbs
Week 11: -1.4 lbs
Week 12: +0.6 lbs
Week 13: -0.6 lbs
Week 14: -4.0 lbs
So after 14 weeks, I've lost an average of -2.0 lbs per week.
What I had done differently this week was focus on getting more steps in every day - I got 10K steps in seven-out-of-seven days - in addition to a minimum of :30 minutes of some other activity at least four-out-of-the seven days.
I'm trying not to be too excited about this result, because I want to be more neutral in my response regarding both the highs and lows of this journey.
Well, that'll do it for today - hopefully there will be even less of me to write about next week!
Congratulations, Tor! You've made great progress - keep it up!
ReplyDeleteWoo Hoo! :)
ReplyDeleteWay to go!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Tor!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I did WW together and we're now life-long members.
You inspired me to ramp it up for my 50th birthday! Who needs crazy "get ripped" programs when common sense gets the job done?
@Kelly, thanks for the encouragment. How is your rehab going?
ReplyDelete@Lisa, thanks sis!
ReplyDelete@Elissa, what a great comment - thanks so much for the positive feedback!
ReplyDelete@Kim, thanks Hon - I love you a ton (thankfully I don't weigh a ton anymore)!
ReplyDeleteGood evening Tor. Just a quick note to say hello, and thank you again for posting your accomplishments. Your attitude is contagious - so thanks! As I mentioned before, I started WW last week. And, I regret to inform ya, but I gained 1.2 lbs. :( That said, there were several factors (Red Robin the night before being one main one. haha) Anyway, while it was discouraging - I didn't let it stop me. I have decided to keep moving foward. So, early next week, hopefully I'll have better news too.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, thanks for your post. I wasn't around earlier to see it, but I had wondered how the weigh in went. You did great. Good for you!
@Laura, Hang in there! All of us in that WW boat took time getting there - it'll take time for us to get out of it.
ReplyDeleteThe biggest change that's occurring is a mental on. I want to smooth out the emotional highs and lows - so that I'm not elated with a big loss nor devastated with a gain.
That way I'm able to stay focused and keep moving forward.
(saw this link on your twitter abt the cartoons & then saw about your weight loss)I think that's just FABULOUS! I'd be super excited if I was you! CONGRATS!
